Strange goings on in Llandudno

Well, here we are in Llandudno for the Welsh Labour annual conference, where lots of people are slagging off the Tories because of some vote or other on May 3. Llandudno is like Wales's Bournemouth, but not as nice.

I've heard a lot of very, very strange things up here. One is “That'll be £16.20” when paying for three plates of fish and chips at Barnacles. (£16.20!)

But here are the two strangest things I've heard ...

The first came from Martin Eaglestone, Labour's Arfon candidate, when introducing Peter Hain at the conference platform: “He moves around quickly and achieves a lot.”

What?

The second came from a little black box on a lamppost: “Caution. Llandudno is a secure town.”

Is it?

Are such Rhodri style ramblings my new claim to fame !!

At least something got noticed - not a privilege extended to every delegate.

But you must admit that the fish and chips at Barnacles are superb...

Okay im gonna start off by saying...Why are you poking fun at signs saying "Llandudno is a safe town"......Did anything happen to you whilst in Llandudno? I think not, because otherwise you would have stated it.
I know there's going to be people saying "hes a P.O.W, treat him with respect blah blah blah". I dont care if you were captive in Iraq/Cuba/Llandudno, get you're facts right about to go slagging off a town, you wouldn't say it to anybody's faces would you?.....Seriously though....i know you wouldn't. Anyways, no need be a fascio about it, you might've deserved to get captured, it's all karma at the end of the day. Oh sorry, i retract my statement about Llandudno, you obviously got mugged of your hair and respect...P.S you're only jealous because you can't buy a wig and a picklock at barnacles..
